Why We Hurt Each Other

Think about your life for a moment. What is it that you want? What do you wish you could do? Think realistically.

Now consider what stands between you and that goal? It could be a lack of motivation or perhaps an environmental difficulty like distance. However, the number one obstacle to people’s happiness is generally other people.

Based on the things we do (or do not do) we could end up limiting or destroying another persons chances at happiness. The goal is not to blame other people for the problems in your life since competition and accidents are inevitable. Instead, keep in mind that all people want happiness just as you do.

Find Happiness Through Culture

Cultural identity is largely deemphasized in America today. When people talk about culture it usually refers to religion or ethnicity; however, culture comes in many different forms. For example, a professional athlete will share a similar culture with other athletes, just as a fraternity brother shares a culture with others in his fraternity.

By finding your culture and making it a larger part of your life, you will become much happier.
