Day 5: Sharing is Caring

Young Girl Offering CandiesThis one is a pretty easy one and can go a long way. I knew I wanted to get ahead in some of my work today and that I would probably be up late. I decided to get myself a snack for the night.

While browsing the store, I saw the cashier there and came up with an idea. He had probably been working for a while, why not give him an early break? I started to open the bag of chips I picked up while he was rigging up my items. After paying, I simply offered the bag to him and asked if he wanted some. Read More…

Days 3 & 4: Recap

Smiley NoteAs you may have noticed, there was no post yesterday. Not to worry, this isn’t because I forgot to perform my random act of kindness. It is merely because I had my hands full with other things, and there are but so many hours in the day.

Actually, one of the things that was taking up so much of my time is I was studying for the GRE test. For those that don’t know, the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is a standardized test which is most often used in applications for graduate school. That’s right, I’m planning on going to grad school! I saw nothing of particular interest for a while until I ran across a man sitting alone on a park bench. He appeared to be homeless. At first, I passed him right by. Read More…

New Goal: Random Acts of Kindness

Dating is hard. There’s no good way to get into a relationship. Doesn’t make for a very compelling journey for me. In this light, I’ve decided to declare my very first sub-goal.
This new sub-goal I have declared for myself comes from myself comes from my third method. However, instead of making changes in my life to get closer to the people I am interested in, I am going to do it just for fun. My goal is to perform many Random Acts of Kindness (RAKs). Read More…
