Look What I Found!

So I was rummaging through my bag the other day, minding my own business when what do I stumble upon but a loose piece of paper.  I wasn’t sure what it was or how it got in there, but I decided to open it up and see what it said.

It said, “You are Wonderful!”  There was also a little heart drawn in on the side.

At first I thought, “Hmm… that’s odd.  Must be a note I wrote to someone during my Random Acts of Kindness weeks.”  At that point I was going to discard it.  But then I took another look.

“I don’t remember writing with this color ink.  And I don’t remember writing this particular message.  I also don’t recall drawing a little heart.”  It was then that I realized the handwriting was not mine at all.  “How bizarre,” I thought.

Finally I put 2 and 2 together.  “Oh!  I think I was just the target of a random act of kindness!”  Needless to say, I was thrilled.

To this day, I am still not certain if the note was written by myself or someone else.  I keep second guessing it.  But then I think, even if I did write it, to effectively cheer myself up without doing it knowingly is an extremely difficult feat.  If anything else, I can be proud of myself for being able to randomly target myself and still have the success of feeling uplifted.

And besides the note, my day had already been a good one.  The note was just the icing on the cake.

If nothing else, this has taught me that my 2 weeks of RAKs was able to make some people feel better.  And that’s all I really wanted to know.

SUCCESS!!
